Questions

What do you mean by "swatches"?  Example of color samples for rag rug. Swatches of your colors may include anything that will fit in a business size envelope.  These may include a piece of wallpaper, paint chips, yarns, cloth . . . anything that will show the colors you plan to have in your rag rug.

Why are color swatches necessary?   I work directly from actual colors swatches to ensure that your rag rug will have the closest match to your personal decor.

What materials are used in my rug?   Sturdy 100% cotton rug warp and cotton/cotton blend weft fabric.

How are the rag rugs woven?  See my description After the loom is dressed with the appropriate warp (lengthwise) strings, the cotton fabric for the weft (crosswise) is cut into 2 inch wide strips.  The process of weaving beats and compacts these strips into tight, narrow bands that create the solid fabric of the rag rug.

Are the rugs washable?

Absolutely!  Machine wash your rag rug separately in plenty of warm water and regular detergent without bleach.  After removing it from the machine give it a good shake and hang it horizontally on the clothesline to prevent stretching.

How long will my rug last?  Small samples of rag rugs to show quality of final rug.  Forever . . . with average use and laundering.  They wear like iron.  In fact, I'll prove it to serious customers.  I will send you a small woven sample upon request (see order form).  Wash, line dry it, and use it as a mug rug.  See how well my product holds up!

What kind of payment is accepted?     Check, money order, or Master Card/VISA if you wish to phone or mail it to me.

Is a deposit required?    Yes.  I must spend a considerable amount of money and time to complete each rug so I need to have a solid confirmation of the order.
